Freddie Mac reaches the REO all-time high sales record
November 16th, 2011 . by adminFreddie Mac’s vice president of single-family servicing and real estate owned properties, Tracey Mooney, mentioned in her blog post that Freddie Mac has managed to overtake the previous records of REO sales in the first nine months of 2011.
Freddie Mac sold a record breaking number of real estate owned properties at 80,000 units in the first nine months of 2011, the all-time high REO sales. Most of these properties were sold at pretty decent pricing and just took an average of 120 days before they got sold.
The reason behind the success in selling these homes near the full estimated value according to Mooney is on how they maintained and price reasonably these properties for home buyers and the local markets.
